DuBois Integrity Academy (DIA) is hiring an Elementary School Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. DuBois Integrity STEM Academy’s academic program is built on two main pillars that drive significant achievement: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) combined with Blended Learning. We implement theme-based, interdisciplinary, integrated curricula to enhance instruction and learning. A mix of carefully managed behavioral studies and innovative neurological research supports theme-based education as a way to improve opportunities for all students to succeed. 

Position Overview

The Elementary School Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of a high-performing charter school. This role is responsible for driving academic excellence, cultivating a positive school culture, and maintaining strong organizational systems that promote student success. The Principal leads and develops teachers and staff, partners closely with families, and advances the school’s mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Leadership
• Set and uphold a clear vision for academic excellence and student achievement
• Oversee curriculum implementation aligned with state standards and charter goals
• Use data-driven practices to monitor student progress and improve outcomes
• Perform regular coaching, provide feedback, and offer professional development to teachers
• Ensure effective instructional practices across all classrooms

School Culture & Climate
• Build and sustain a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture
• Establish and uphold high expectations for student behavior and character
• Promote social-emotional learning and student well-being
• Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and families

Staff Leadership & Development
• Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality educators and staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth
• Build leadership capacity among teachers and staff
• Facilitate collaborative team structures (PLCs, grade-level teams, etc.)

Operations & Management
• Oversee daily school operations, including scheduling, safety, and compliance
• Manage the school budget and allocate resources effectively
• Ensure adherence to charter regulations, state laws, and district policies
• Coordinate with central office or charter network leadership

Family & Community Engagement
• Build strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders
• Communicate regularly and openly with parents and guardians
• Lead family engagement initiatives and school events
• Represent the school within the broader community

Qualifications

Requirements
• Master’s Degree or Higher in Educational Leadership
• Tier II Leadership Certification
• Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience
• Prior leadership experience (e.g., Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach)
• Demonstrated success in improving student achievement

Preferred
• Experience in a charter school environment
• Strong background in elementary education
• Experience working with diverse student populations
