Job Title: Instructional Coach
Location: DuBois Integrity Academy
Reports To: Principal
Position Summary:
The Instructional Coach is responsible for enhancing the instructional capacity of teachers and improving student achievement through collaborative support, professional development, and data-driven strategies. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled educator who can effectively lead professional development, conduct regular planning meetings with teachers, and facilitate data analysis sessions for all content areas. The Instructional Coach will also execute coaching cycles to provide targeted support and ensure continuous teacher growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Professional Development:

Design and lead high-quality professional development sessions for designated grade level teachers across all content areas.

Provide ongoing instructional support and feedback to teachers, aligning professional development with school and district goals.

Collaborate with teachers to identify instructional needs and create action plans to address areas of growth.

Stay current with educational best practices and share research-based strategies with staff.

Planning Meetings:
-
Conduct regular planning meetings with teachers to assist in the development and refinement of lesson plans, instructional strategies, and curriculum implementation.

Support teachers in aligning instruction with state standards and the school’s academic goals.

Assist in creating engaging, differentiated instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.

Ensure that teachers are integrating effective instructional strategies and resources into daily instruction.

Data Analysis and Instructional Strategy:
-
Lead routine data analysis sessions with teachers to review student performance and identify trends across all content areas.

Support teachers in using data to inform instruction, adjust pacing, and implement interventions.

Collaborate with teachers to set measurable goals based on student data and monitor progress toward these goals.

Help develop and implement targeted instructional strategies that respond to the needs of individual students and groups.

Coaching Cycles:

Execute coaching cycles as a measure of coaching support, providing one-on-one coaching to teachers.

Facilitate pre- and post-observation conferences, model lessons, co-teach, and provide constructive feedback based on observations.

Monitor the implementation of instructional strategies discussed during coaching cycles and support teachers in refining their practices.

Track the progress and outcomes of coaching cycles to ensure continuous professional growth and student achievement.

Collaboration and Support:

Serve as a resource for teachers in all areas of instruction, curriculum, assessment, and classroom management.

Promote a culture of collaboration and reflective practice among teachers.

Work closely with the administrative team to ensure alignment of instructional goals and support school-wide initiatives.

Support new and experienced teachers in their professional growth and instructional practice.

Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum of 3-5 years of successful teaching experience (experience in 4th and 5th grades is preferred).

Proven expertise in leading professional development and facilitating teacher collaboration.

Strong knowledge of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and data analysis.

Experience with implementing coaching cycles and providing direct coaching support to teachers.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyze data to inform instructional decisions and monitor student progress.

Strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to work effectively with teachers across content areas.
