Eastern Standard — a branding and digital strategy company based in Philadelphia — is hiring a seasoned sales professional to round out our expanding team. The Outbound Sales Representative will be a business development team member responsible for generating leads and opportunities through individual outreach efforts for new accounts and service engagements focused primarily on website support, improvements, management, and promotion including SEO and paid digital. 

The Representative will coordinate with our marketing and business development team in creating and implementing new sales strategies to supplement our marketing and business development efforts. Working with our leadership team and Producers, they will identify opportunities to expand and close new engagements for projects and service-based client relationships.


The Role

You’ll be a client-facing member of our business development team focused on identifying prospects and closing new business. 

Identify leads and generate new business opportunities

  • Identify strategies for targeting existing and new contacts based upon potential need and company sales goals for specific offerings;
  • Research new accounts, identify key stakeholders, and perform direct outreach through calls, emails, and (virtual) meetings/presentations;
  • Create new sales opportunities through networking, events, partnerships, and social platforms;
  • Identify potential partner companies in similar industries to establish a referral program;
  • Field opportunities from prospective clients and prepare responses in collaboration with the business development team;
  • Look for new opportunities to increase the scope of our work with current clients;
  • Generate revenue by closing deals;
  • Report on sales goals to the business development team and company partners; 


Work with our existing business development team to response materials, craft proposals, and guide our sales efforts

  • Provide guidance and recommendations for sales messaging and communication in outreach efforts;
  • Work with our existing business development team to tailor proposals and presentations to the clients’ needs;
  • Collaborate on our related outbound marketing efforts in order to align and create maximum return on investment for marketing efforts.


Opportunity: Help us scale our sales processes and build a sales team

  • Help streamline our sales communications and optimize how we sell our services to new and existing clients;
  • Identify market opportunities that we may not be effectively addressing;
  • Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with other companies.
  • Grow sales and outbound efforts to facilitate opportunities to add new team members to support the process and create a managerial sales role in the future.


What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in a similar service-based provider environment, and ideally with a book of existing prospects in marketing and/or web service roles who may need an agency
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills
  • Experience in responding to RFPs, pitching, and drafting proposals
  • Able to speak at a high level to web based support, improvement, and digital marketing projects and, secondarily, to related services in design and strategy engagements
  • Know how to build rapport quickly with new clients with the goal of establishing long-term relationships
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment, while being adaptable to change
  • Experience using a CRM
  • “Can do” attitude, client-focused mindset
