OVERVIEW:

The Technical Director is responsible for providing technical sales support for the NRGMax™ technology and specialty Oil & Gas products containing NRGMax™.  He/She will be expected to have O&G chemistry and chemical application knowledge in the areas of Completions, Production, and Water Treating.  Knowledge in the Midstream and Downstream chemical segments is a plus. He/She will write lab and field test protocols and oversee proving out the effectiveness of NRGMax™.  Engagement with potential customers is critical to collaborate on positive outcomes for our technology. He/She will assist the O&G sales team in preparing power point presentations and actively participate in technical customer facing meetings. He/She will look for new chemical solutions that BPSOG can bring to market and assist in driving market acceptance. Finally, he/she will leverage their existing network to drive additional sales pipeline.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 ·         New Chemical Solutions:

o   Finished Products

§  Identify specialty O&G chemical solutions and formulations that are enhanced by NRGMax™ and to be manufactured in-house at Shotwell.

§  Collaborate with BPS Tech to create such formulations.

§  Work with direct sales and BPSOG leadership to generate and submit a “Business Case” to substantiate the commercialization of the new product.

·         Identify applications for NRGMax™:

o   Areas of product disciplines include any of the following, to be prioritized by impact of NRGMax™ and business opportunity:

         Acid Promoters, completion surfactants, friction reducers

         Emulsion Breakers, Scale/Corrosion inhibitors, biocides, dispersants for oilfield production

         Scavengers and drag reducers for midstream applications

         Cooling tower, boiler, and waste water treatments in downstream applications

         General knowledge of backbone chemistries such as surfactants

·         Existing Chemical Applications:

o   Provide technical support for the existing specialty applications

·         Lab:


o   Submit lab testing requests

o   Define scope and requirements for testing to be performed.

o   Serve as a liaison between the lab and field sales

o   Conducts industry-standard field testing as required to verify customer conditions and product performance.

 


·         Sales:

o   Assist in the building of sales pipeline for specialty products

o   Support and participate in both customer and prospect meetings either in person or remotely.

o   Create and support the development of content to be incorporated in white papers, brochures, sales presentations, etc.

·         Marketing:

o   Identify new value propositions for existing chemical solutions and applications.

o   Work with president to engage and participate in the oil and gas market in order to stay current on trends and innovations that could positively or negatively impact the business.

o   Support the development of competitive intelligence related to other chemical companies or chemical solutions.

o   Create and support the development of content to be included in marketing activities and campaigns.

o   Attend industry conferences that are congruent to the goals and objectives of the Company.

·         Training:

o   Conduct training for sales, marketing, technical, etc. related roles on a quarterly basis.

·         Your geographic territory is typically the domestic oil and gas market areas.

·         Other job-related duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 ·         This job has no current supervisory responsibilities.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year University or College.

o   Chemistry or related preferred

·         Experience in oilfield related applications and chemistries
