Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable CompTIA Network+ Certified Instructor to join our training team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction on networking concepts and practices, preparing students for a successful career in IT infrastructure and ensuring they are well-prepared for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam.

This is a part-time (20 to 30 hours per week), remote position located in TN.  Pay is $35 per hour with no benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging and informative lessons on networking fundamentals, including network technologies, installation and configuration, media and topologies, management, and security.

  • Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that meet learning goals and are in line with the CompTIA Network+ curriculum.

  • Conduct practical labs and hands-on training sessions to enhance learning and simulate real-world networking troubleshooting.

  • Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and hands-on projects, providing constructive feedback and support.

  • Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and certification requirements to ensure course content is current and relevant.

  • Assist students in preparing for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam, offering tips, study strategies, and practice exams.

  • Collaborate with instructional staff and management to continuously improve the curriculum and instructional practices.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • CompTIA Network+ certification is mandatory.

  • Proven experience (2+ years preferred) as an IT instructor, network technician, or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and networking concepts.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information in an understandable manner.

  • Experience in curriculum development and educational material preparation.

  • Ability to motivate students and manage classroom dynamics effectively.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
