Job Overview

The Program Coordinator for Community Youth is a working position, directly responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of youth workforce and development initiatives. This role supports participants aged 18–24 by ensuring effective program delivery, tracking outcomes, cultivating employer relationships, and contributing to fundraising and program growth efforts.  While this position does not supervise staff, it plays a vital role in collaboration with centralized departments, community partners, and employer networks to ensure youth success from enrollment through placement.

This is a full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, matching 401k and a generous Paid Time Off package.  Candidates should be able to pass a reference and background check.  This position is located in Omaha, NE.  

Job Responsibilities

Program Coordination & Participant Support

  • Manage daily youth program operations and participant flow

  • Coordinate onboarding, training schedules, and individual goal tracking

  • Serve as the main point of contact for participant needs and progress

  • Work closely with centralized teams for case management, education, and outreach support

  • Identify and help resolve barriers such as transportation, childcare, or legal challenges

Performance Monitoring & Compliance

  • Track and maintain program data using HubSpot, PlanStreet, Evolv, etc

  • Monitor performance indicators such as credential completion, job placement, and retention

  • Contribute to weekly check-ins, monthly reporting, and quarterly strategic reviews

  • Ensure participant documentation and activities meet compliance standards

Employer Engagement & Job Placement

  • Build and maintain relationships with local employers aligned with youth training pathways

  • Coordinate employer site visits, job fairs, and hiring events

  • Support youth job placement efforts in partnership with centralized Employment Services

  • Contribute to long-term employer engagement strategies for sustainability

Fundraising & Program Growth

  • Provide stories, testimonials, and outcome data to support fundraising and awareness

  • Participate in site tours, community events, and funder visits as a representative of the program

  • Identify local needs, partnership opportunities, and community gaps to inform expansion

  • Assist with strategic conversations around program scaling and innovation

 

Qualifications   

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in youth programming, workforce development, or community coordination

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while remaining participant-focused

  • Business-minded approach to performance tracking, reporting, and problem-solving

  • Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders—from youth to employers to funders

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and digital tracking systems

Preferred:

  • Lived experience reflective of the population served

  • Experience with fundraising, employer partnerships, or job placement strategies

  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and wraparound youth services

  • Familiarity with second-chance hiring and reentry support
