Summary:  

Atomica is seeking a Facilities Director to lead our Facilities & Safety transformation. The Facilities Director will be a hands-on individual who is motivated, effective in a fast-paced team-oriented environment, passionate about operations and has an entrepreneurial mindset. The Facilities Director will be a driven strategic partner reporting directly to the SVP of Operations. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop strategic facility plans relating to annual expense, capital budgets, and cost reduction projects 

  • Oversee and direct building operations and security as it relates to company’s changing needs 

  • Responsible in overseeing environmental health & safety functions as well as space planning and facility expansion projects 

  • Lead the building space allocation, layouts, and facility expansions. 

  • Plan budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates and inspects construction and installation progress. 

  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure development and rollout of new equipment technologies in the factory. 

  • Initiate planned maintenance (PM) programs for a variety of facilities equipment and systems 

  • Manage preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and other equipment 

  • Site Safety and ERT Coordinator 

  • Closely partner with local and state regulatory bodies such as waste water, CUPA, APCD, OSHA, etc. 

  • Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement and open communications. 

  • Drive a culture of reward, recognition, respect and professionalism. 

  • Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations.  

  • Engage as a member of the Operations leadership team through participation in management meetings and reporting on departmental performance and initiatives. 


Requirements: 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. Master’s Degree is desired. 

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in semiconductor facilities management. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication with knowledge of MS Office 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactive approach, ability to work under pressure, demonstrated organizational and time management abilities. 

  • Strong initiative and leadership, analytical problem solving skills. 

  • Lean manufacturing background is preferred. 

  • Experience with strategic planning and conceptual skills.
