We are searching for an outstanding individual to join our Summer 2022 program team as the Health Care Coordinator at our our first and second summer experiences, Camp Leadership U and Camp Leadership U2. This position begins on July 17- August 4, 2023

C5 Texas changes the odds for high-potential youth by inspiring them to pursue personal success and preparing them for leadership roles in college, work, and their communities. We are a dynamic youth development organization uniquely positioned to provide youth from risk-filled environments with a comprehensive curriculum focused on leadership, character education, college and career access, and community action. Our curriculum is based on an experiential learning model, delivered through a combination of immersive summer experiences, weekend programming during the academic year, and mentoring for five years from the end of 7th grade through high school graduation.

The Summer Camp Nurse helps provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment for the young leaders we serve.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Provide first aid care for campers and staff

Oversee the administration of medications to campers and staff

Coordinate visits to a physician when needed

Monitor health and cleanliness standards

Organize paper work and maintain file organization

Help provide adequate physical health conditions for all

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

Valid Texas MD, RN or LVN license

Youth experience required, Camp experience a plus
