Sylabs Customer and Partner Solutions Architect

Our product roadmap brings the benefits of cloud-native to the HPC space. 

Sylabs is looking for a world class candidate for the role of Customer and Partner Solutions Architect in the software containers ecosystem. As a CPSA, you'll work with a variety of teams including Sylabs Sales, Products and Engineering, and those that leverage tooling within the high performance container ecosystem. You will work strategically to drive customer success.

You will possess (1) both a business/sales background with a leading consulting or systems integrator that enables them develop forward thinking initiatives which drive net new implementations and (2) a strong technical understanding of the CSP services, tools and pathways associated with an application containerization journey. You are expected to not only create and conceptualize technical programs but also be able to manage the roll out through with Customers and Partners. You will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build strong industry relationships. It is critical that you can build the right level of relationships across the Customer and Partner ecosystem and players within the industry. You are an influencer by nature and must be seen as someone that is eager to engage with and have a strong hands-on approach. 

You should be a technical domain expert, experienced with Containers both as a philosophy and understand having large-scale production batch systems. You should also be comfortable white boarding complex software architectures with a roomful of engineers as you are briefing an executive audience. You will get the opportunity to work with a wide array of established and innovative Customers and Partners You will also have the opportunity to write whitepapers, deliver technical webinars, speak at events and file patents and contribute to the Sylabs product portfolio including our open source projects.

Required Skills

• Technical degrees in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent are highly desired.

• Ability to interact with senior business and/or technology leadership within Customer or Partner organizations.

• Presentation and written communication skills; high degree of comfort with technical and executive audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about sales, business, product, and technical challenges.

• Experience with container applications.

• Hands on experience working with batch or microservices architectures.

• Experience in building curriculum and materials for customer needs.
