THE ROLE


As Product Manager at Amplion, you'll be responsible for product planning and execution, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements. You'll work closely with cross-functional team of customers, executive team stakeholders, subject-matter experts, product managers, data scientists, and engineers to ensure strategic goals are met. One of our core values at Amplion is to WOW Customers and this role will be instrumental in ensuring we deliver on our vision of accelerating the realization of precision medicine in the Life Sciences industry.



 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the product and engineering teams to ensure an effective development process.

  • Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation, presentations, and supporting visuals.

  • Track individual and team deliverables, leveraging existing processes and tools.

  • Work with a cross-functional Scrum team, optimized for flexibility, creativity, and productivity.

  • Manage proactive communications with internal stakeholders from strategy through execution.

  • Present product information and roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Gather and analyze detailed product and market requirements.

  • Decompose product initiatives and features into detailed requirements and user stories.

  • Review product requirements with internal stakeholders.

  • Provide direct input into strategic plans and work with the product team to define the product roadmap.

  • Analyze product/technology gaps and make buy/build/partner decisions.

  • Manage projects and report on progress toward key dates, metrics, and goals.

  • Track sprint goals and maintain release plans.

  • Serve as Product Owner, maintaining and prioritizing product backlog items for the Scrum Development team.

  • Conduct customer/stakeholder interviews to discover problems in the market and validate urgent problems to show their pervasiveness in the market.



PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • 5+ years experience in Product Management

  • Product management frameworks, best practices

  • Complex enterprise web applications

  • Multi-user collaboration and/or workflow software

  • Agile/Scrum process, methodologies, and popular tools, including Jira

  • Big data, reporting applications

  • SaaS and Cloud Computing

  • Software development practices and tools



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Life Sciences experience and/or biology background

  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence applications

  • Product Design (UX/UI) best practices, patterns and tools

  • Database design and data architecture
