We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious AWS Lambda Developer to join our team working with a Federal client. This role is for a skilled and adaptable AWS Lambda developer to join a fast-paced development effort to re-architect and modernize a high-visibility system. As a core member of our development team, you will design, develop and modify custom software solutions that solve problems, improve business operations, and manage the complexity inherent with technology change.


The position will be a remote role open to US citizens residing in the United States with an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance


Responsibilities and Duties

  • An AWS Lambda developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining serverless applications using the AWS Lambda service. They work with cloud technologies to build and manage serverless infrastructure that can meet the needs of the business. The roles and responsibilities of the AWS Lambda developer include:

  • Designing and developing serverless applications: AWS Lambda developers design and develop serverless applications that can meet the needs of the business. They should be proficient in serverless architectures and have experience working with AWS Lambda.

  • Writing serverless functions: AWS Lambda developers are responsible for writing serverless functions using programming languages like Python, Node.js, or Java. They should be proficient in event-driven programming and have experience working with AWS Lambda triggers.

  • Ensuring security and compliance: AWS Lambda developers should be knowledgeable in cloud security and compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR. They should be able to implement security best practices, perform regular security audits, and monitor serverless infrastructure for vulnerabilities.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues: AWS Lambda developers should be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to serverless infrastructure, such as performance issues, function errors, or resource allocation problems.

  • Monitoring and scaling serverless infrastructure: AWS Lambda developers should be able to monitor serverless infrastructure and scale resources up or down based on demand. They should be proficient in serverless monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, or Datadog.

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams: AWS Lambda developers should work collaboratively with cross-functional teams like software developers, database administrators, and network engineers to ensure that serverless infrastructure meets the needs of the business.

  • Keeping up with industry trends and best practices: AWS Lambda developers should stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that they are using the latest serverless technologies and tools to meet the needs of the business.

  • Overall, an AWS Lambda developer should be proficient in serverless technologies, have strong technical skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other teams to build and manage serverless infrastructure that meets the needs of the business.

  • Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities

  • Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner

  • Work closely with customers to implement and/or consult requested solutions.

  • Possess considerable logic and understanding to analyze and troubleshoot problems

  • Must be able to work independently with little to no daily supervision, is a team player, open to ideas and learning.

  • Work in a distributed team environment where team members are spread across numerous locations and often communicate virtually to support clients.


Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Required skills:

    • Ability to work with US Federal clients and possess an ACTIVE SECRET clearance

    • JavaScript, Linux, React.Js, NoSQL, Front-End Development, Git Version Control System (VCS), Web Design, User Interface (UI), Agile Environment, New Web Technologies, NPM, Responsive Web Design, AWS Lambda, Web Service Development, Asynchronous Javascript

  • Desired skils:

Education Requirement:

  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Eng or related (highly preferred)
