Title: Marketing Communications Manager
DESCRIPTION The Saint John Institute is a Catholic non-profit 501c(3) organization with a vision to Raise Up Saints to LeadTM! Our mission is to inspire young adults in leadership for evangelization at Eagle Eye Ministries; we equip faith with leadership and leadership with faith at the Saint John Leadership Institute; we engage great talent for the evangelization of culture through family and business at the Saint John Leadership Network. Our core values: Vision. Daring. Grit. We do all of this by providing in-person events, webinars, and digital content. We are building a content hub/blog in early 2022 on our DareGreatThings.org (DGT) website that will house the content used to support our members of the Leadership Network, Eagle Eye Ministries, and Leadership Institute. The blog is designed to celebrate those who dare, to share their stories, and to provide the users/visitors the ability to create their own journey to sainthood. DareGreatThings.org will provide rich content, but also a UX that enables our visitors to retain learning and become accountable for their own journey. The Marketing Communications Manager’s primary responsibility is to create campaigns in our CRM that lead our audiences to attend events, subscribe to the blog, donate to SJI, and receive our newsletters and other digital communications. The Marketing Communications Manager supports the Communications Department by creating and managing websites, email communications, blog content, and moderating social media channels for our ministries. This position reports to the Director of Communications. This is a full-time salaried position that is eligible for benefits. The position is located in Englewood, Colorado. Hours of operation are 8:30-5pm MST. Daily Mass is available on site when priests are available. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 50%: Managing Digital Communications Create the 1st Friday monthly newsletter including managing, editing and writing content and driving A/B testing to determine best times/days/tags to generate engagement Create email blasts and campaigns through the KEAP CRM to promote events, courses, retreats, and fundraising Collaborate with the Database Administrator to successfully execute the blasts and campaigns Prepare, schedule, and optimize the Communications Calendar to promote attendance at our events, webinars, etc. Collaborate with Social Media Specialist to create and schedule posts to support the digital and in-person events from all three ministries. Assume the social media tasks in the absence of the Social Media Specialist 40%: Blog Contribution and Content Participate as member of the DGT editorial board and review, create and schedule content for our members and subscribers Manage blog contacts/contributors, bring them into the system, remove when needed and keep them current Edit content for length, grammar, style and content guidelines Collect necessary information for each post including bio, pictures, posts and links Troubleshoot problems: serve as Point of Contact (POC) for contributors, faculty and SJI employees Post blog entries according to schedule Create a Standard Operating Procedure for blog management, including records and process flow Serve as POC for contributor renumeration, scheduling in-studio visits/filming Onboard contributors and faculty to blog process and scheduling commitments Create automated processes and calendar for posting Create calendar for content review/proofing Coordinate social media posts to promote blog and DGT content Research interviewees for the I Dare podcast: read/skim their books, videos and or other content; prepare a list of questions for host to ask; prepare host for interview and follow up 10%: Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned Support the Director of Communications with related Communications projects Participate in team meetings, trainings, and events Engage in professional development opportunities Some travel required QUALIFICATIONS
Commanding knowledge of CRM databases
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt, be flexible, and multi-task in a fast-changing environment
Familiarity with social media platforms and Adobe products
Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate with team and volunteers
Enthusiasm, teamwork focused and strong customer service orientation
Moral life according to the teachings of the Catholic Church
Teachable spirit. Willing to take on new tasks as assigned
Proven experience with managing media
Proven experience with developing appropriate broadcast, print and social media content
Proven experience with successfully meeting deadlines under pressure
Preferred:Bachelors degree in Marketing/Communications/Media or related
Understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics and social media best practices
Experience with building effective targeted media communications and campaigns
Strong conceptual and research skills
