Title: Media Production Specialist
DESCRIPTION
The Saint John Institute (SJI) is a non-profit 501c(3) organization with a vision to send leaders for labor in the Lord’s harvest. Our mission is to inspire young adults in leadership for evangelization at Eagle Eye Ministries; we equip faith with leadership and leadership with faith at the Saint John Leadership Institute; we engage great talent for the evangelization of culture through family and business at the Faith and Leadership Consortium. In October 2019, we opened a new media production studio at our National Center in Colorado. This fully functioning film studio has state of the art equipment and serves three ends. Firstly, our three ministries will record exclusive video content, marketing videos, and video messaging destined for social media to serve our mission of promoting authentic Catholic leadership. Secondly, our Saint John Leadership Institute (SJLI) students will be able to access the studio to develop and promote Catholic leadership messages and pursue their entrepreneurial endeavors. Thirdly, friends aligned in mission with SJI community may utilize the studio to create widespread Christian messages or advance their ministries. Thus, our SJI video production studio will enable evangelizers to disseminate Christian messaging, and formation in community leadership, spiritual leadership, and professional Christian leadership.
The Media Production Specialist leads the creation of video and social media communications and manages the use of studio assets. This position’s focus has three primary areas: 1) External Communication- videography, sound, social media, images, 2) Internal SJI Communication- newsletters, emails, and 3) studio asset management. This position reports to the President and Chief of Staff. This full time position is located in Englewood, Colorado.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Produces videos in all phases, including: creative brainstorming, music story boarding, shooting videos, editing, rendering, video storage
Creates Audeo Leadership video series and social media posts (YouTube, Facebook, Livestreams)
Creates internal organizational communications and special projects
Collaborates with Communications team for: creative direction, branding/style guides, assessing video needs for the organization
Maintains smooth operations in SJI studio, including: security measures, purchases, storage, controlling access to studio equipment
Operates within set budgetary limits to execute projects
Occasionally manage vendors/contractors/volunteers to ensure smooth project execution
90%: Media Production and Coordination (36 hours)
Develops all media that supports the desired content and brand of SJI
Develops internal and external communication projects with direction from Leadership
Creates tailored content targeting multiple internal and external audiences to support SJI campaigns, events, fundraising, and SJLI students
Increase social media engagement (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
Delivers a consistent brand voice across digital channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube
Manages access to the studio and equipment use
Executes projects according to content calendar and schedules posts to ensure deadlines are met
Produces compelling content for our websites, social media, email marketing, communication materials and more
Utilizes and updates the image library to house historical, organizational images, and footage
Assists the team by creating a variety of event promotion media materials
Assists students and friends of SJI with their studio needs and procedures for use
10%: Other Duties and Responsibilities (4 hours)
Actively participate in team meetings, events
Externally represent SJI as needed
Some travel required
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in managing multiple projects with short deadlines: develop and adjust timelines, meet deliverables, excellent meeting facilitation skills, well-organized, adapt to project changes
Ability to communicate to all levels of leadership, staff, volunteers, contractors
Ability to be flexible and multi-task in a fast changing environment
Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience in collaborating with on-site and virtual teams
Positive professional attitude with ability to work on teams
Moral life according to the teachings of the Catholic Church
Education
and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in video production, marketing, digital communications, or
related field. At least three years experience in video production. At least two years in social media
communications including Facebook and Instagram. Experience with non-profits
and ministries is a plus.
Licenses
and Certifications:
Valid driver’s license.
