Title: Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator

The Saint John Institute is a non-profit 501c(3) organization with a vision to send leaders for labor in the Lord’s harvest. Our mission is to inspire young adults in leadership for evangelization at Eagle Eye Ministries; we equip faith with leadership and leadership with faith at the Saint John Leadership Institute; we engage great talent for the evangelization of culture through family and business at the Faith and Leadership Consortium. Our students are either enrolled online in a graduate program or an entrepreneurial programs while living at the Saint John Institute in community with the Congregation of Saint John in Englewood, CO.  Students are formed through community leadership, spiritual leadership, and professional leadership. This formation prepares evangelizers who are savvy in management skills and devout in their Catholic faith.

 

The Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator supports the Saint John Leadership Institute in two primary areas: student Recruitment and Admissions. This part time position is located in Englewood, CO.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Actively recruit prospective students by promoting the program, referrals, and events

Vet and guide prospective students through the admissions process

Maintain recruiting log of potential students

Coordinate with the Communications Department on email correspondence to potential students, verify student prospect contact information, and ensure correct database tags

Gather and use data to inform the recruiting plan

Provide feedback to leadership using “market intelligence”

Raise awareness of the Leadership Institute in and outside of Colorado

Support the President and Chief of Staff with student recruitment activities

Create written procedures to support the Recruiting and Admissions workflow


80%: Recruitment

Respond to and lead prospective students through the early stages (interest, inquiry, acceptance) of the admissions process, according to the department workflows

Establish program procedures for Leadership Institute weekends

Liaise with SJI staff to organize Leadership Institute weekends

Build relationships with apostolates, Denver organizations, and schools to identify prospective SJI students in collaboration with the Student Formation Coordinator

Facilitate (or identify a point person to attend ) campus and parish visits in the Denver/Colorado Springs area

Create, monitor, and update potential student contacts within the Communications database

Coordinate with the Communications Department on email communications to potential students, verify student contacts have been added and tagged in the database

Maintain the Recruitment and Admissions’ Google Calendars and files in the Google Drive

Produce reports for the President to inform the recruiting plan and target potential students

Identify and promote best practice strategies in Catholic school recruitment and admissions

Support the final steps of student admissions to complete the enrollment workflow

 

20%: Other Duties and Responsibilities

Meeting coordination: scheduling, reminders, minutes, conference calls

Participate in team meetings, training, and events

Provide staff with content to update SJI’s website, social media platforms, and promotional materials as they relate to student Recruitment and Admissions

Some travel required

 


QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated competence in calling and following up with prospective students

Strong verbal and written communication

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to collaborate on a team

Ability to generate leads to find prospective students and build relationships in the community

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Enthusiasm and strong customer service orientation

Moral life according to the teachings of the Catholic Church

Teachable spirit. Willing to take on new tasks as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:

Required

Bachelors Degree

Experience with organizing and leading student recruiting activities

Experience working with a database

Proven experience with successfully meeting deadlines under pressure

 

Preferred

1-2 years experience with college student recruitment and admissions

Data interpretation

Experience working with volunteers
