About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Shipping, Inventory & Quality Control Coordinator to join our operations team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all outbound shipments meet customer specifications and quality standards, while also supporting shipping/receiving and maintaining accurate inventory.

What You’ll Do

Quality Control & Shipment Accuracy

  • Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure products meet all specifications, labeling, and packaging requirements

  • Review work orders for accuracy (dimensions, core size, coatings, special instructions) before shipment

  • Identify and resolve product or packing issues prior to carrier pickup

  • Maintain quality inspection logs and documentation for tracking and compliance

Shipping & Receiving

  • Prepare and review Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and shipping documents

  • Pick and verify orders to ensure accuracy of product and quantities

  • Assist with receiving and verifying inbound shipments against purchase orders

  • Coordinate shipments with carriers and support loading/unloading activities

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels for finished goods and materials

  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits

  • Reconcile discrepancies within WMS/ERP systems (including AS400)

  • Follow FIFO practices and proper storage procedures

Administrative & Team Support

  • Enter data and maintain records for shipping, inventory, and quality activities

  • Prepare daily/weekly operational reports

  • Collaborate with production, QA, and warehouse teams to resolve issues

  • Support operations with additional tasks and projects as needed

What You Bring

Required Experience

  • 2+ years in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment

  • 2+ years of quality control/assurance experience (inspection, documentation, non-conformance handling)

  • 2+ years of inventory management experience (cycle counts, reconciliation, WMS/ERP systems)

  • Experience with shipping/receiving processes, including BOLs and order verification

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to read and follow work orders and product specifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in a warehouse environment

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice to Have

  • Experience in paper, print, or specialty materials

  • Familiarity with thermal paper roll specifications

  • Forklift or pallet jack certification

  • Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
