The Graphics Design and Marketing Intern is responsible for conceptualizing, updating and producing cohesive creative collateral and a variety of graphic materials for the organization based on the current brand standards. The intern provides support through a variety of channels to include print, digital, web, social media, email, video and others as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and design signage, website landing pages, social media graphics, digital banners, printed sales materials, rack cards, print ads, e-newsletters, posters, flyers, direct mail pieces and other marketing materials as needed while maintaining the continuity of existing brand identity. 
  • Provide new design insight, research, and inspiration for existing branding.
  • Manage and update content on WordPress websites and order various sales collateral and print materials.
  • Assist with building a press kit, creating content for social media and blog posts, e-newsletters, press releases, media alerts, event announcements, and other stories.
  • Light communication and coordinating with vendors as needed based on experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Familiarity with IT computer hardware, software application and networking concepts is preferred.
  • Email campaign experience, business operations, WordPress management, photography, videography is a plus!
  • Ability to communicate with vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial.  Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential.  Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and communications and duties.
  • Ability to use a computer while sitting for extended periods is very common.  Must also be able to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision and contribute to a team environment.
  • Possess a strong commitment to quality customer service and the ability to write and speak in a concise, clear and polite manner, including skills with communicating product/service-related concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm in addition to the ability of understanding and following written and verbal instructions is required.
  • Must be able to pass random drug testing and comprehensive background check.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Reports directly to the organization’s Operations Manager and/or Business Owner.  Works in conjunction with Service Operations and Sales/Marketing Departments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND TRAVEL
Travel is not required.  No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of 10-20 lbs. of force (e.g., carrying a laptop, binder, or both) is required. Good manual dexterity required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers, scanners).
