What you’ll be doing:


The Wildland Fire System Support Specialist is a seasonal member of a high-performing team responsible for supporting a program delivering mission-critical response and support to Cask's Client throughout the fire season 2021. This person will be someone who can collaborate with our customers and an agile development team.

 

You will be second-tier support to the community and an extended member of the agile development team.

  • Tier 2 support responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Utilize the integrated ticketing system to track all Tier 2 tickets through resolution.
    • Provide answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps.
    • Quickly resolving small or easy-to-manage issues.
    • Elevating harder-to-solve problems as appropriate to Tier 3.
    • Documenting activity within the integrated ticketing system and knowledge base articles.
  • Serving as an extended member of the agile development and support team you will:
    • Utilize feedback to sustain and enhance IROC capabilities.
    • Participate in testing and documenting test results.
    • Work with development teams to fix problems.
    • Document requirements and reference material.
    • Gain and/or maintain current knowledge of the ServiceNow platform.
    • Create a positive customer experience.
    • Work schedule will include On Call: rotational schedule during nights, weekends and holidays

 

What you’ll bring to the table:


  • Minimum 3 years ROSS/IROC experience in the dispatch/expanded environment.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Experience with programs such as VIPR, HEMS, IQCS, IQS, IRWIN, iNAP, eAuth/Login.gov, etc. a plus.
  • Wildland Fire field experience a plus.
  • Dispatching experience for a Wildland Fire Agency a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to deliver as a multifaceted team member.
  • Ability to serve in an on-call capacity.


Nice to have:

    • Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is a plus
    • 5+ years of IT experience in various roles of infrastructure or application support is a plus
    • Experience with Agile/Scrum Software Development Methodology is a plus
    • 3+ years of Wildland Fire Support a plus
    • ITIL V3 Foundations a plus
    • ServiceNow Certifications a plus


    Mandatory: Able to qualify for a U.S. Federal Government Moderate Risk Position
