What you’ll be doing:

The SLED Account Executive will have tenacity, wit and energy to get in front of prime targets and build relationships with new and existing Cask clients in State, Local Government and Education accounts. It’s not just about closing deals; it’s about providing long term value and a trusted relationship with our customers and partners. The Account Executive is responsible for generating new business sales revenue for Cask across several disciplines, including Service Management and Operations, Technology Business Management, Portfolio and Project Management, and Cyber Security. This will be achieved by researching prospect customers, using business development techniques, building account plans, and inside sales and field-based sales activities.

  • Break through, manage, and sell into a robust assigned territory.

  • Establish and maintain long-term client relationships; qualifying new business in addition to participating in retention, cross sell, and up sell opportunities.

  • Lead a complex sales cycle; orchestrating, leveraging and collaborating with additional resources - i.e. partners, inside sales, Solutions (Presales) Engineers, Sales Management, and Executive leadership - when needed.

  • Prepare accurate forecast, document daily activities in HubSpot and perform other task necessary to drive sales revenue and communicate activities to sales management.

  • Work autonomously to meet and exceed assigned revenue targets & goals 

  • Sell deeper and wider into assigned accounts.

  • Identifying requirements from other departments within an assigned account to configure appropriate offerings from our portfolio to meet client needs.

  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor - identifying, penetrating, and securing potential targets through a relationship-based approach.

  • Developing a sales strategy with a target prospect list, and a sales plan.

  • Developing marketing plans with the marketing team to drive revenue growth.

  • Being the trusted advisor to the customer by understanding their existing and future roadmap to drive Cask services within the marketplace.

  • Doing whatever it takes to generate new leads, opportunities and pipeline including telemarketing, emails, attending industry events, and event follow ups.

  • Prospect qualification and the development of new sales opportunities and ongoing revenue streams.

  • Arranging and conducting initial meetings and presentations.

  • Ability to listen to a prospect’s pains and needs and identify a solution that is most applicable.

  • Sales process management and opportunity closure.

  • Ongoing account management to ensure customer satisfaction and drive additional revenue streams.

  • Work closely with the Cask Delivery team to successfully win new business.

  • Identify, develop and submit applications/responses for new contract vehicles

  • Strategic thinking for developing solutions to meet customer expected outcomes

What you’ll bring to the table:

 

  • At least 5 years of direct new business sales experience focused on enterprise and professional services sales with a proven track record selling enterprise software.

  • Previous success with complex sales involving multiple decision makers and sales cycles of 3 to 18 months. 

  • Strong experience of selling to C-Suite (or one level below) with a good understanding of technology Individual must possess good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels or organizations. 

  • Utilizing a consultative approach, discuss business issues with prospect and develop a formal quote, a written sales proposal or a formal sales presentation addressing their business needs. 

  • Respond to RFP's and follow up with prospects.

  • Good working knowledge of Partner ecosystem and experience establishing and fostering strong Partner relationships. 

  • Familiarity with state and local acquisition vehicles such as NASPO and GSA schedules.

  • Ability to understand the "bigger picture" and the business drivers around IT and other lines of business.

  • Experience and knowledge of new generation cloud-based tools (i.e. ServiceNow, Salesforce, Apptio, Workday etc.).

  • Previous experience using CRM tools.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Highly Desirable: Experience with ServiceNow ecosystem and/or ServiceNow partner.
