What you’ll be doing:
The System Support Specialist is a member of a high performing team responsible for supporting a program delivering mission critical resource ordering support to the Nation’s Wildland Fire community. This person will be someone who can collaborate with our customers and an agile development team.
You will be second tier support to the Wildland Fire dispatching community and an extended member of the agile development team.
● Tier 2 support responsibilities include but are not limited to:
○ Utilize the integrated ticketing system to track all Tier 2 tickets through resolution.
○ Provide answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps
○ Quickly resolving small or easy-to-manage issues
○ Elevating harder-to-solve problems as appropriate to Tier 3
○ Documenting activity within the integrated ticketing system and knowledge base articles
● Serving as an extended member of the agile development and support team you will:
○ Utilize feedback to sustain and enhance Interagency Resource Ordering Capability (IROC) capabilities
○ Participate in testing and documenting test results
○ Work with development teams to fix problems
○ Document requirements and reference material
● Maintain current knowledge of the ServiceNow platform
● Create a positive customer experience
What you’ll bring to the table:
● 3+ years of Wildland Fire Dispatch experience
● Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
● 3+ years of IT experience in various roles of infrastructure or application support
● Experience with Agile/Scrum Software Development Methodology
● Ability to work remotely and independently
● Ability to serve in an on-call capacity
● Capability to deliver as a multifaceted team member
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● ITIL V3 Foundations a plus
● ServiceNow Certifications a plus
● Able to qualify for a U.S. Federal Government Moderate Risk Position
