What you’ll be doing:

Senior Accountant - Revenue Recognition - Process Improvement - Leadership!

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting including month-end close, account reconciliations, and overseeing operational accounting. Experience with managing weekly cash flow forecast, assisting with the monthly financial close, maintaining the general ledger, ad hoc analysis, and financial statement preparation is important to being successful in this role.


  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure that corporate

accounting obligations are met in a timely manner

  • Oversee and participate in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports

  • Perform analysis of financial statements, recognition of revenue and analyses monthly

variances

  • Manage and ensure the accuracy and completeness of project costing, expense rates and

subsidiary ledgers

  • Team with finance budgeting process

  • Process semi-monthly payroll

  • Maintain and Administer cost accounting systems including Time and Expense systems

  • Support all annual and Interim GAAP, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), General

  • Services Administration (GSA), insurance, State Government audits and report audit findings to

upper management


What you’ll bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field of study; Master’s in Accountancy is preferred

  • 4 or more years of general accounting experience

  • Active CPA License is preferred

  • Experience in a Project Based accounting environment is preferred

  • Experience implementing project-based ERP solutions

  • Experience with job costing accounting software is preferred 

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a high degree of personal integrity and mature

judgment

  • Current Knowledge of US GAAP, including Contract Accounting (ASC 606)

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) is desired but not required

  • Demonstrated data management skills, including the ability to enter data accurately, produce

reports, and create Excel spreadsheets

  • Requires excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as excellent

verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well with customers, auditors and internal team members 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
