What you’ll be doing:
As an Accounting Intern, you will be given the opportunity to apply your academic training in a real-world setting. In this role, you will obtain exposure to day to day accounting operations that support the entire business ranging from processing of accounts payable, recording journal entries and preparation of financial statements. Ideal candidates will be individuals who want to learn accounting operations, are career minded, detail oriented and utilize creative problem-solving abilities. This position is available for Junior or Senior students to participate in supervised practical training in a professional field.
· Perform various aspects of accounting including labor reconciliations, timekeeping analysis and auditing of accounting data
· Assist in the auditing of Travel and Expense report; working with traveler and or admin to ensure compliance with processes and procedures
· Use Analytical skills to assist in reviewing of Travel and Expense reporting
· Use Analytical skills to assist in reviewing weekly labor reporting
· Assess business processes to identify ways to more accurately forecast, analyze and report results.
· Gain exposure to various tools to include Jamis Prime, Power BI and Concur software
· Assist in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve non-routine problems
· Ability to interface with middle and senior level management and articulate financial information in a clear and concise manner.
· Performs other duties as assigned or required.
What you’ll bring to the table:
· Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Masters Degree program in Accounting or related field of study atan AACSB accredited college or university
· Achieved a 3.2/4.0 GPA or higher
· Rising Junior/Senior
· Strong written & verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational, problem solving & analytical skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Strong independent judgment and leadership skills
