What you’ll be doing:


Cask is seeking a resource planning and analysis professional to join our team to help schedule and align resources for current projects and to forecast future resource needs to enable us to scale effectively as a fast paced growing professional services firm.   


The Resource Planning Analyst is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders across strategy, sales, and delivery to ensure the resources needed to meet business commitments and schedule the right resources based on required skills, qualifications, and environment.  The Resource Management Professional will also be involved in efforts to manage resource capacity and utilization to maintain profitability on all projects across the company. This person will also lead or participate in internal projects across Cask functions that incorporate external research and enable data-driven decision making. 


  • Help drive and execute resource management strategy and optimization activities. 
  • Ensure resources are optimally allocated to various client projects, based on customer lifetime value and resource skills.


  • Planning

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders and sales team to thoroughly understand future needs and ensure resources are available to meet commitments

      • Ensure Project Managers are maintaining resource plans for individual projects

      • Ensure Account Executives are maintaining resource plans for upcoming projects

    • Coordinate activities with leadership and project managers to include full analysis of need, internal skill and capacity analysis, and execution of demand fulfillment activities

    • Builds and maintains a company level resourcing plan to determine when it is appropriate to make new hires for different roles and skills

    • Coordinate with Talent Management and Recruiting to drive hiring based on the company level resourcing plan

    • Collaborates with finance to enable effective revenue forecasting and planning


  • Scheduling

    • Soft book resources to projects, based on the resource requirements and availability, skill and locations 

    • Ensure all projects and/or tasks are staffed prior to kickoff with the appropriate billable resources

    • Facilitate the fulfillment of staffing requests and prioritizing resource requests, working with Project Managers and other team members to ensure the right resources assignments are made in the required time-frame

    • Identify resource allocation conflicts to team members to allow for resolution


  • Analysis & Reporting

    • Develop and present resourcing forecast to the leadership team for business planning.

    • Assist in "forward planning" and analysis activities to stay ahead of current resource demand, and plan for future company growth

    • Assist in the analysis and execution of resource utilization and capacity

    • Facilitate relationships between teams to find resources and resolve issues that are preventing project progress

    • Gather and analyze data to determine trends. 

    • Identify and address key resource and skill gaps throughout the organization in conjunction with workforce planning activities

    • Monitor actuals vs plans for individual projects and across the delivery functions


  • Integration for HR and Management Processes

    • Work with project managers to hard book resources on projects

    • Work with Talent Management and Supervisors to help ensure resources skills are accurate

    • Work with Delivery project management to ensure an accurate record of current and future available resources 

    • Work with Talent Management and project managers to understand resource feedback and their potential fit with different customers


  • Other duties as assigned. 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college / university

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Resource Management, PMO, Business Analyst, Talent Acquisition or related experience

  • Experience forecasting to ensure resources are available to meet business commitments 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data trends

  • Proficiency in data analytics or business intelligence concepts

  • Proficient performing analysis using software including Excel, Google Sheets, CRM systems, resource planning tools

  • Exceptional ability to make timely and effective decisions to meet fluid deadlines

  • Capability to work autonomously and make independent decisions to meet deliverables with minimal oversight

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
