Description:


The ideal Senior Advisor in Risk and Security will be expected to have a deep level of expertise and vast knowledge base in core Governance, Risk, and Compliance as well as Security Operations domains, in order to successfully lead project activities, assess and consult with internal and external customers, and deliver high-quality products. The successful candidate must be analytical, innovative, possess a strong sense of attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills. It is critical that the Sr Advisor be able to present complex solutions, in a concise and coherent manner. The candidate must be comfortable blending multiple service lines and offerings into one harmonious deliverable, and executive presentation for audiences of all levels and skill sets.

The successful candidate will have experience in reviewing and comprehending risk management and compliance frameworks, security standards, and complex networks. Extensive experience with designing and managing a successful CMDB is critical for this position. He/she must have a professional and practical understanding of Information Technology, including how technical and administrative controls are implemented across various industry verticals and company sizes. The candidate should be well versed in assessing said controls, understand how controls should be governed, and be able to assist in the strategic development of aligning security goals to business objectives.

The candidate must have a strong security background to include SIEMs and Vulnerability Management solutions and processes.

Duties:

  • Lead large security engagements in concert with other Cask team members.
  • Conduct document reviews consisting of organizational policies, standards, and processes.
  • Conduct security process discussions with customers to determine potential process risk and overall maturity.
  • Understand customer networks to ensure implementations kickoff and complete with little to no issues.
  • Develop strategic, operational, and tactical recommendations tailored to each customer with the intent to remediate all identified risks and compliance gaps to improve a customer’s security posture and compliance position.
  • Create detailed strategic security roadmaps with short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals that prioritize remediation recommendations and address all instances of non-compliance with applicable regulatory, statutory, contractual, and organizational obligations.
  • Develop Security Operations and GRC policy guides, that are custom tailored to each customer’s unique culture, security goals, and organizational objectives with industry best practices and compliance requirements are taken into consideration.
  • Work with other Principal Security Consultants in a collaborative setting to support and assist on the execution and delivery of key ServiceNow implementation services such as Security Operations to include, Vulnerability Response, and Threat Intelligence, Governance Risk and Compliance to include, Policy and Compliance, Risk, Audit and Vendor Risk Management. documentation review, and security consulting services.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.


Qualifications:


  • We seek a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Experience with ServiceNow administration or implementation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • We seek the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, work alone or in small teams, achieve established goals and objectives, and communicate progress in a timely and meaningful manner
  • You possess current information security certifications such as CISM, CISA, CISSP are preferred
  • You are experienced in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ambitious and goal-oriented, with an initiative to work until the job is complete
  • You have the ability to travel on short notice
  • Experience with project deliverables from a VAR/Integrator experience is a plus
  • Prior experience working closely with customers and collaborating with IT staff is a plus
