Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Director of Product Management is key to the ownership and development of the all products and services for Quality Built. This requires someone who is a true marketer and creative thinker… someone who has a strategic mind and tactical prowess to create a thorough plan to grow product penetration in target markets and companies.

The Director of Product Management will develop, coordinate, and execute the high-level product strategy to ensure we build an engaged organization that provides great products. This person will help shape the direction of our existing solutions while creating new solutions to further differentiate Quality Built and strengthen our leadership position in the industry. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the industry to include product design, strong familiarity of customer requirements, and the motivation to iterate and build outstanding products to achieve those outcomes. The Director of Product Management will encourage lasting transformation in Quality Built and the operating model of product management and marketing. This individual must possess self-motivation with a strong propensity for action, quantifiable results, and continuous improvement.

The Director of Product Management will be accountable for identifying new product growth opportunities/partnerships, creating/building new relationships and rapport with contacts, negotiating, and closing business deals, while remaining current and well informed on all market trends and competition. In addition, the Director of Product Management will work closely in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team and Directors of National Accounts on market-maker accounts, be an integral part of expanding existing accounts and partners and communicating new offerings and capabilities to be a key contributor to the management of future growth within Quality Built.

RESPONSIBILITIES - 
  • Work closely with Sales to design and introduce new products based on market research and customer feedback.
  • Analyze product, category and market performance and potential.
  • Help determine marketing strategy and positioning of new products.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Sales staff, and Executive leadership.
  • Responsible for product development, product quality, and product life cycle.
  • Work effectively inside and outside Quality Built to create a clear and concise product vision, strategy, and road map.
  • Develop the business rationale and models for product investment choices.
  • Identify and quickly react to emerging market trends, drive product discovery, and work as team member.
  • Deliver market-defining products and solutions on-time and on budget.
  • Serve as a product evangelist with customers, prospects, Operations, Marketing, and Sales to help them understand the vision, road map, and best practices.
  • Drive customer voice and discovery activities to ensure products are always aligned with customers’ greatest needs.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence to ensure the road map is aligned with driving clear competitive differentiation.

  • Track, record, and submit expense and activity reports as required using company software.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations, arguments, and business cases.
  • Communicate effectively at all client levels (titles), including C-level executives.
  • Attend various industry events and provide feedback and information regarding market and competitive trends.
  • Provide ongoing gap and competitive analysis to identify new growth area opportunities.
  • Using knowledge of product markets and competitors and leveraging industry expertise, relationships, and portfolio knowledge, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

EXPERIENCE - 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ years of successful B2B experience in the construction or a closely related field required; preferably with a specialty products/services supplier to building and/or development companies.
  • 7+ years’ experience developing relationships, partnerships, knowledge, and experience within the construction materials or services industry with residential or commercial builders.
  • Strong track record of growing market penetration, including a proven track record of creating value and developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers in customer organizations.
  • Strong strategic product plan development, optimizing the sales results and market positioning, articulating value propositions, and creating metrics to demonstrate value.
  • 5+ years’ experience with CRM systems.
  • 3+ years’ experience and clear proficiency with MS Office suite and MS Teams.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in cross-functional teams. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in all aspects of developing and managing products and services.
  • Demonstrated Management Team participation and leadership experience.
  • Ability to work in a high stress, high-productivity, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Good organizational abilities, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure and deadlines.
  • Work seamlessly with others both internally and externally to achieve corporate goals.
