Quality Assurance Specialist

 

Timios Appraisal Management focuses on providing the greatest product quality and customer satisfaction in the industry.  The primary role of this position will be to manually evaluate production appraisal reports by utilizing customized client checklists, results from an automated QC system (ACI), and other tools as needed.  This position will also provide opportunities for growth by learning fundamental aspects in the Operations and Customer Service departments as well. 

 

Job Summary: 

·         Work from a production queue to effectively and efficiently review appraisal reports

·         Reviews appraisal products for compliance with applicable USPAP, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and client guidelines

·         Completes reviews on appraisals while approving or rejecting completed appraisal reports

·         Direct Communication with clients to clarify and resolve addendum requests

·         Direct communication with the appraisers to clarify and resolve issues, and obtain the revised appraisal report

·         Delivers appraisal report to the client in a professional manner

·         As needed, assist the Customer Support Team in addressing client requests, and providing status updates

·         As needed, follow-up with active order with appraisers, which includes: Assigning to vendors, recruiting/setting up new vendors, follow-up with the vendor on all stages of the life cycle of an appraisal order to obtain status and report to the client

·         As needed, recruit and add vendors to specified areas that require additional coverage

 

Basic Qualifications:

·         1-2 years of experience in similar role(s) at an Appraisal Firm or Appraisal Management Company

·         High School diploma or GED required

·         Minimum 3 years experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Reader

·         Can understand and communicate conversationally in English both written and verbally

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience utilizing Gators as an Order Management System is a plus

·         Demonstrable knowledge of appraisal concepts

·         Functional knowledge of USPAP regulations, Fannie Mae and FHA guidelines

·         Functional knowledge of Home Valuation Code of Conduct/Dodd-Frank Act requirements

·         Experience with direct communication with appraisers and/or lenders

·         Must be able to work well  in a team environment with a diverse work group

·         Detail Oriented and strong organizational skills

·         Strong communication skills

·         Strong customer service skills 

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Creative problem solving abilities

·         Willingness to do multiple roles as needed (full training provided)
