About This Role:

We are seeking a passionate, engaging, ready-to-learn intern to join the Protein Science team for Summer 2022. We are looking for an intern pursuing an undergraduate major in: Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or similar fields. Pairwise offers the opportunity of getting to work with industry leading scientists and professionals in a cutting edge, industry changing, food-technology company. Our intern will work within Protein Science in a hands-on learning situation. Pairwise interns each have a season long cap-stone project aimed at adding tangible value to the industry. Pairwise interns receive guidance in career and educational planning and participate in ‘intern-only’ meetings where they share their experiences and network with other summer interns at the company. We like to have fun at Pairwise, so the summer intern will also be invited to participate in company events and team building trips to share in the fun of summer in North Carolina.


Essential Functions (may include):

• Protein purification and analysis

• Extracting DNA and submitting for sequencing

• Analyzing Data

• Presenting Data to the Protein Science Team


Required Education & Experience:

• A student currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelor of Science program in one of the following disciplines:

o Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or similar fields with some bench-level laboratory experience.
