Primary purpose of this position is the planning and creation of sale concepts and themes to generate interest and revenue.  A successful Promotions and Creative Manager will need to be forward-thinking, extremely organized, flexible, and possess the ability to effectively communicate with designers, analysts, directors and VPs.   The position’s focus will be on the organization, execution and analysis of promotional marketing campaigns.  In addition, the Promotional Marketing and Creative Manager will lead and support the promotional marketing, graphic design, and social media teams.

Responsibilities:

·         Advertiser Account Management:

o    Contract negotiations

o    Inventory requests for deal network homepage placements

o    Inventory requests for third party newsletters, including dedicated BRAND e-mails

o    Regular meetings/conferences with advertisers to discuss strategy & account profitability throughout the year

o    Locate potential advertising opportunities & pursue partnerships to increase revenue in third party marketing and social media reach

o    Regular meetings with VP/Marketing, director, and regional marketing teams to review campaign health & ongoing strategy

·         Third Party Newsletters:

o    Weekly deal coordination - set weekly schedule, utilizing past experience & performance reports to ensure that each placement results in positive ROI

o    Inventory requests for dedicated BRAND e-mails – coordinate with creative team to have assets produced, coordinate with executive team for e-mail approvals

·         Site Sales:

o    Create, present, and manage monthly sale calendars

o    Coordinate all aspects of site-wide sales and events, including but not limited to creative concepts, promotional content, coupons, assets and elements

o    Coordinate and assist in the creation and loading/ removing of on-site marketing elements

o    Assist with overall messaging for site sales

 

·         Resource Management:

o    Perform quarterly reviews of staff

o    Issue performance improvement plans as needed

o    Perform training to strengthen staff’s skill set

o    Manage daily time cards, overtime and time-off requests

o    Responsible to staying with a given budget

o    Recognizing strengths and weaknesses within the teams and maximizing potential, productivity and efficiency.

·         Creative Direction

o    Oversee creative direction for all brand-level marketing collateral and site sales

o    Oversee and manage the production for internal email campaigns

o    Develop the creative team for consistent improvement in design

o    Ensure all BookIt.com branding efforts are adhered to daily

o    Assist with the management of pre-roll video production assets

  • A Reporting & analytics for deal feed, third party newsletters, social campaigns, and onsite promotions.
  • Advising RMM’s on campaign strategy and new opportunities
  • Keeping up with Market/Industry trends and standards
  • Overseeing production for company branding efforts, as they relate to promotional marketing
  • Negotiating make-goods for advertiser errors
  • Working with the Partner Marketing Team for scheduling & fulfilling promotional elements of cooperative marketing campaigns
  • Overseeing homepage management
  • Oversee the management of the creative request document
  • Oversee team time clock discrepancies, PTO requests and assist in basic technology and HR requests
  • Assisting in setting standards for homepage placements

o    ability to step in as needed for production assistance

  • Strategic planning for site sales
  • Documenting processes and procedures in Wiki
  • Provide training as necessary to creative and promotional content staff
  • Communication with different departments within BookIt.com:
    • Contact Center (staffing, call tracking, and promotional opportunities)
    • Technology
    • Regional Marketing Team
    • Partner Marketing
    • Executive Team



Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year College or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Adobe Creative Suite, FTP, Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word), Social Media Sites (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest)

Google Analytics Certification is preferred.  If candidate does not currently possess the certification, he/she will be required to obtain the Google Analytics Beginner Certification within the first 90 days of employment.
