Sr. HR Generalist

Location: Durham, NC / Wilmington, NC / NC Home Based


Job Summary: Carolina Complete Health Network is a vibrant business that engages with providers on behalf of a Medicaid prepaid health plan in North Carolina. The plan, Carolina Complete Health, is the only provider-led entity among the plans in the state’s recently transformed Medicaid system. Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art care to Medicaid beneficiaries, resulting in better health and improved health equity at lower cost.

Reporting to the VP, Business Operations and Finance, the HR Generalist is a key member of the Business Operations team.  The HR Generalist will be proactive, organized, detail oriented, work with all levels within the organization and be able to execute in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment with minimal oversight.  In addition, the HR Generalist will work to build and maintain strong relationships with the management team to be able to assist them with human resource needs. 


Primary Responsibilities 

  • Oversee all aspects of recruitment 
  • Coordinate and conduct new-hire orientation and onboarding
  • Lead the administration of the benefit programs in conjunction with a third-party vendor. 
  • Develop and administer new policies, approaches, and processes regarding employee relations; and federal and state compliance.
  • Assist in building programs and leading activities that promote CCHN’s culture and values, employee recognition, and employee well-being.
  •  Anticipate, manage, and resolve complex, sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all HR employee data and make sure we have up-to-date documentation for all our employees.
  • Provide HR support to the management team 
  • Ensure legal compliance in all areas related to Human Resources.
  • Ensure all relevant records are effectively maintained.
  • Facilitate open and effective communication at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Maintain job descriptions
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all duties and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized and able to manage time
