Healthcare Provider Database Manager

Location: North Carolina (preference for Durham)

How you will make an impact as the Healthcare Provider Database Manager: As part of a small, dynamic team focused on provider-centric data, you will work collaboratively across CCHN to enhance our ability to use our proprietary data as an asset for further differentiation. As the expert on our provider database and related applications (including the QuickBase CRM platform), you will enable daily business operations, support provider engagement and generate valuable business and customer insights that underpin company growth.  The position will serve internal clients throughout the organization including Senior Leadership as well as partner organizations. The position will be responsible for:

1.       A systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approach to provider data management, including the quality and completeness of network provider data held by CCHN

2.       Ongoing provider database application development

3.       Timely, accurate and complete provider data reporting

The position reports to the VP of Strategy and Performance and supervises the Data Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provider Data Management

o   Maximize the value of CCHN proprietary databases

o   Evaluate, clean, maintain and improve quality control of databases and data transfer across systems

o   Liaise with our health plan and other internal and external partners to improve work flows and best practices

·       Provider Database Application Development

o   Lead ongoing development of the CRM system to continue to meet business requirements as determined by the needs of key internal and external stakeholders

o   Seek out new technology and approaches to increase business efficiency and effectiveness

·       Provider Data Reporting

o   Create differentiated advantage through timely, complete, and accurate reporting of CCHN proprietary information

o   Produce regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports on provider network data

·       Maintain Compliance

o   Employ information protection and security techniques compliant with state, federal, and corporate requirements

o   Comply with Centene NC firewall policy

o   Protect confidential and sensitive business information as an employee of CCHN

·       Perform other duties as delegated

·       Travel requirement is up to 15% time


 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

·       Bachelors degree. Coursework in statistics or other strong applied quantitative study, library science, or health informatics preferred.

·       Two or more years of experience in provider data management in a healthcare setting. Preference for experience in CRM management

·       Knowledge of health care, managed care, Medicare or Medicaid, and claims billing and coding

·       Understanding of health care processes and procedures

·       Excellent data integrity and data quality improvement skills

·       Current state driver license.
