Job Description
The Salesforce Solution Engineer is a vital member of our sales team, focused on supporting Engagement Consultants throughout the entire sales process of Salesforce professional services for our for-profit and nonprofit customers. As a bridge between the technical and sales realms, this role demands a deep understanding of Salesforce, combined with the capability to interact with potential clients, and efficiently scope and estimate tailored solutions. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, and indirectly to the Chief Operating Officer, this individual ensures that proposed solutions are both technically feasible and aligned with our customer's needs.
Responsibilities
Partner with Engagement Consultants (Account Executives) on prospect calls, showcasing technical knowledge and expertise to potential clients.
Conduct detailed requirements gathering to thoroughly understand the client's needs and expectations.
Scope and estimate Salesforce solution projects, ensuring they are tailored to the client's requirements and budget.
Draft compelling proposal language that effectively communicates the project scope and the value of our services.
Present estimates and proposals to clients detailing how the project will meet their needs demonstrating a firm understanding of the clients’ process and objectives.
Respond to RFPs (Request For Proposals) in a detailed and timely manner.
Occasionally create high-level design documents that outline the proposed solution.
Build and execute tailored demos for various client use cases.
Maintain demo and org libraries.
Conduct Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions with the Delivery Team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
Review and assess the accuracy of estimates, ensuring they are in line with the proposed solutions.
Maintain and update the estimate template library, ensuring that templates are current and optimized.
Continuously refine and enhance the sales process, keeping it aligned with industry best practices and our organizational goals.
Desired Skills & Experience
Proven expertise with Salesforce, preferably with a certification or relevant recognition
A history of scoping Salesforce services, including implementations and support
Deep industry expertise in nonprofit practices. Expertise in other industries preferred (High Tech, Health and Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Financial Services, etc.).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficient in proposal writing, with a focus on clarity, precision, and impact.
Ability to understand and interpret technical requirements and transform them into feasible solutions.
Familiarity with RFP processes and the ability to respond effectively and competitively.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proactive and self-driven, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
Team-oriented mindset, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and partnership with internal teams and external clients.
