edgefactory is seeking a motivated Motion Graphics Artist that can bring energy, emotion, and edge to our growing team!  At the factory, this position will be responsible for the creation, development, and deployment of engaging and captivating creative animations for various clients.  The Artist will provide creative support for daily production and long-term assignments, contribute on projects in a collaborative environment, and work independently on multiple on-going projects. This position is fast paced requiring the ability to conceptualize narratives from script to screen and efficiently communicate through all phases of a project while maintaining high-quality control efforts. The Motion Graphics Artist is expected to raise the bar with quality and creativity. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assist with video production, editing, and graphic design.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Create animated content for internal and external use
  • Plan and execute 2D and 3D motion graphics
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet clients’ needs
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic typography
  • Research and answer technical questions with the best interest of the project in mind
  • Ensure all work conforms to the technical requirements and standards
  • Maintain in-house folder structures and naming conventions
  • Reports directly to Motion Department Lead

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Diverse portfolio with a minimum of 1-3 years of agency experience or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator
  • Cinema 4D and Element 3D experience a plus
  • Strong visual design fundamentals including animated motion graphics, composition, hierarchy, color theory, typography, animation based on storyboards
  • Well-versed in current design trends
  • Ability to organize information and maintain proper file structure
