Staff Accountant – Part Time

 Sweet Sparkman Architecture & Interiors (SSAI) is a growing and dynamic design firm headquartered in Sarasota, Florida. We are seeking a Part-Time Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our team.

 

Classification:    Part-time, hourly, nonexempt. Reports to Finance Manager and Firm Principals.

 

Summary:          The Staff Accountant supports company operations by administering financial-related aspects of firm   business.

 

Job Duties:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Invoice projects on a monthly basis in coordination with Project Managers and Firm Principals and issue to clients; follow up with clients to ensure timely payment; track and pay consultant invoices in a timely manner.
  • Track accounts receivable.
  • Record client payments and make bank deposits.
  • Enter vendor and consultant invoices.
• General Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Process employee monthly expense reimbursements.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure time is being entered correctly in accounting software.
  • Credit card coding.
  • Check runs.
• Contract Administration
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy of contract and accounting information in the system.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree required (B.A. or B.S. preferred), Bachelor in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum 1-year work experience.
• Advanced computer skills (proficiency with Ajera Deltek accounting software a plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management.
