Position Overview:

The Director, Creator Partnerships will shape and execute the global creator-centric strategy and lead strategic relationships with digital creators, influencers, and content partners to drive brand visibility and engagement that amplifies the idea of service. This role bridges creator needs with organizational objectives, ensuring collaborative, authentic, and impactful content. The ideal candidate is a seasoned relationship-builder with deep knowledge of the creator economy, social media trends, and partnership strategy. They are committed to building a reciprocal and collaborative engagement model with creators around the world who are making a difference in their communities, naturally reflecting our values and advancing our mission.

Pay Range:

$170,400 - $200,000. This represents the present low and high end of the RF Catalytic Capital pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.

Work Schedule:

This role is on a hybrid work schedule, and requires coming into the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (when not traveling). The location is New York City.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set the strategic vision for global creator engagement, establishing long-term goals, success frameworks, and integration pathways with the Foundation’s enterprise-wide communications, convenings, and programmatic priorities.
  • Lead the identification and cultivation of high-potential creators across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and emerging platforms, ensuring strategic alignment with the Foundation’s mission. Serve as a senior relationship steward, resolving escalations and maintaining high-trust partnerships.
  • Shape a global creator partnership strategy that elevates diverse voices, with intentional emphasis on the Global South and historically underrepresented communities, ensuring representation in storytelling and advocacy initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee capacity-building initiatives that equip creators with the tools and guidance needed to engage in responsible, high-impact storytelling aligned with the Foundation’s values and strategic priorities.
  • Establish governance for creator relationship management, including standards for data integrity, performance insights, and partnership documentation, ensuring information is optimized for strategic planning and leadership reporting.
  • Drive internal knowledge-building and external thought leadership, representing the Foundation at senior-level speaking engagements, convenings, and industry forums to elevate our influence within the creator and social impact ecosystems.
  • Design and enforce ethical guidelines, risk-assessment protocols, and content governance frameworks to ensure creator partnerships uphold brand safety, integrity, and mission alignment.
  • Develop organizational benchmarks, KPIs, and evaluation mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of creator-driven storytelling within the broader external communications strategy.
  • Serve as a senior advocate for creator needs, influencing internal teams and resource allocation to support creators in producing content that advances service, community-building, and solutions-oriented narratives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with communications, convening, and policy teams to embed creator content into high-priority campaigns, advocacy efforts, and narrative strategies.
  • Oversee the development of internal systems and workflows for content production, brand approvals, and cross-team coordination, ensuring consistency, quality assurance, and efficiency across the creator pipeline.
  • Lead negotiations and oversee contracting processes for creator engagements, ensuring alignment with legal, procurement, and financial policies, while maintaining timely compensation and strong relationship management.
  • Provide leadership oversight of performance analytics, including the interpretation of engagement metrics, reach and sentiment data, and ROI to inform ongoing strategy refinement and future investments.

 

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, digital media or related field required
  • Generally expected to have 10 years of progressive experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, digital content strategy, or social media management
  • Experience managing creator relationships and partnerships, preferably for mission-driven organizations, nonprofits, advocacy groups, or purpose-driven brands
  • Proven track record of successfully executing multi-platform creator campaigns with measurable results Demonstrated success in translating organizational priorities into compelling creator-led content strategies
  • Experience managing external agencies and consultants
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use KPIs and data to drive strategy and execution in addition to output on philanthropic initiatives and events for different audiences and sectors.
