Junior Package Designer - KINGART


This is a full-time hybrid role. This role will be primarily remote, with infrequent in person meetings in White Plains, NY.


The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate from a top art & design school and have a strong background in print and packaging design, with a proven track record of delivering innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs that align with brand standards. This role is perfect for an up and coming designer with some agency or freelance experience who is looking to transition to the brand side, bringing strong print and digital skills to the table.


Responsibilities:

Create and develop innovative print and packaging designs that effectively communicate brand messages.

Produce high-quality mockups, prototypes, and final designs for various print and packaging projects, including but not limited to product packaging, labels, boxes, and promotional materials.

Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to stay current with design innovations and competitive landscape.

Utilize advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design software to create precise and compelling designs.

Prepare detailed technical specifications and print-ready files for production, ensuring accuracy and quality control.

Maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all print and packaging materials.

Develop and document design standards and best practices for print and packaging projects.

Taking the lead with web graphic projects/campaigns when needed.


Qualifications:

Experience level: Entry Level with a stunning project portfolio.

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in print and packaging design.

Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of print and packaging design projects.

Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design software.

Solid understanding of print production processes, materials, and finishing techniques.

Experience working in an agency setting (as an intern is fine), with a desire to transition to the brand side.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Creative vision and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.


Bonus Points:

Experience designing for in-store retail.

Knowledge of packaging materials and printing practices.

Experience with designing for web and various social media platforms.
