The Opportunity
Acumera, a rapidly growing Austin-based SaaS company, has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Human Resources role. Reporting to the CFO, the Director, Human Resources will be responsible for recruiting, retention, employee engagement, onboarding and offboarding, managing PEO/HRIS relationships for employee pay, benefits, and leave, and creating and enforcing company policies and practices.
This role will also involve several change initiatives including terminating the PEO relationship, developing a company values based performance evaluation process, and management of accelerated M&A integration.
What You Already Have
Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
Must be available to work on-site at our Austin, TX headquarters
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Experience selecting and implementing an HRIS
Understanding of the HR management processes for mergers and acquisitions
Involvement in developing a performance review process
Professional certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred but not required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
What You Will Be Doing
Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, candidate screening, and hiring of qualified job applicants, including for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, assisting managers in creation of job descriptions for all positions.
Executes the Executive Leadership’s vision of the human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, employee engagement and succession planning.
Provides support and guidance related to HR matters when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
