What We're Looking For
Acumera is seeking a Network Manager in the Tallahassee, Florida area with a strong networking background to facilitate continued company growth. This role will be responsible for successfully conducting significant business initiatives while maintaining relationships with key internal and external customers. This Network Manager will drive process optimization as well as coordinate and maintain the levels of service agreed upon and provided by Acumera’s Implementation Department.
What you will do
As an integral part of the Acumera Implementation team, the prospective candidate will perform the following functions:
● Design robust, scalable enterprise networks in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments following industry best practices.
● Work directly with a variety of internal and external customers to determine needs and develop enterprise network strategies and solutions.
● Configure Acumera equipment and services such as firewalls, switches, Wireless Access Points, PCI compliance services, payment card processing services, VPN solutions, network monitoring services, and the like.
● Assist in designing and implementing physical and logical customer network infrastructure.
● Interface with internal and external users for maximum guidance in determining the most appropriate type of network installation.
● Assist in the documentation of customer network topology, diagrams, installation documents, etc.
● Develop and monitor appropriate security posture to ensure customers networks are secure and/or meeting PCI DSS compliance.
● Assist in preparation of training documents; provide user support and training in the use of available hardware and services.
● Create and maintain documentation of policies and procedures, diagrams, and other technical documentation.
● Other duties as required or assigned by management.
What you need to have
● Required 3-5 years work related experience.
● Preferred 5 years of experience supporting, designing, building, and installing large scale enterprise network solutions from multiple vendors.
● Preferred Bachelor's degree in computer science or information management.
● Network troubleshooting skills related to DNS, routing, VPN, etc.
● Intermediate Linux experience
● Strong knowledge, experience, and troubleshooting skills with Firewalls, Routers, Switches, IDS/IPS, Wi-Fi, VLANS, WAP and VPN Systems.
● Excellent time management and organizational skills
● Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions, complete time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
● Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a true desire to help both internal and external customers.
● Proven ability to learn new technologies.
● Flexible schedule including the ability to work weekends and evenings on occasion.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
● Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment, including remotely.
● Strong attention to detail, highly organized.
