Summary/Objective


The Senior Full Stack Developer is a talented, intelligent, creative individual with both strong front-end and strong PHP skills.  You must be comfortable working in a challenging full-time programming position on a small team while building elegant and robust systems. 


The Senior Full Stack Developer will be enhancing and maintaining the current architecture and playing a major role in the design, implementation, and integration of new front-end technologies as Acumera continues to upgrade and enhance product offerings.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate expertise in core technologies, a results-driven and flexible approach to problem-solving, a commitment to quality and product excellence, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

As an integral part of the Development team, the Senior Full Stack Developer candidate will be:

  • Developing and maintaining complex web-based applications

  • Using modern object-oriented methodologies to build clean, reusable, extensible code

  • Working with secure coding standards and requirements (e.g. PCI DSS, HIPAA, CERT/OWASP)

  • Creating elegant user experiences across a variety of UI/UX frameworks

  • Developing a robust test framework and associated SDLC controls (documentation, versioning, change control)

  • Working in an Agile environment

  • Working with stakeholders to analyze user requirements, produce functional specifications and architect new feature sets

  • Producing roadmaps and timescales for product development 

Job Qualifications

At a minimum, the Senior Full Stack Developer candidate will have the following background:

  • 3 years+ solid experience with JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX, CSS3, HTML5

  • 3 years+ solid experience in PHP 5.5 and above, including experience with PHP 7.x

  • 3 years+ solid experience in MySQL 5.6 and above

  • A strong design aesthetic and the ability to create intuitive, functional user experiences

  • Experience with version control systems such as git and SourceTree

  • Experience with web application frameworks such as Symfony, Composer and Bootstrap

  • Experience with test frameworks such as PHPUnit, Mocha, Selenium and Jasmine

Other Desirable Skills

  • Experience with noSQL database systems such as MongoDB

  • Exposure to backend ORM/ODM systems such as Doctrine and Propel

  • Experience with modern JavaScript implementations such as ES6

  • Experience working with modern front-end technologies such as Angular, React, or Vue

  • Mobile platform, cross-platform and responsive web application development experience

  • Experience with RESTful APIs

  • Exposure to, or experience with, Amazon Web Services

  • Exposure to, or experience with, integration testing tools such as Jenkins and Bamboo

  • Be self-motivated, task-oriented, detail-oriented and bold!

  • Good interpersonal and technical communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar discipline preferred, but not essential
