Important Dates:

Our Summer Program runs from Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 (virtual orientation) to approximately end-August in accordance with academic requirements. All students will be available for a minimum of 25 hours per week, dependent on academic commitments, and will be required to participate in an end of semester learning experience project/presentation as well as lunch and learns throughout the semester.

 

Our Interns must:

·       Be eligible to receive academic credit from their respective academic institution;

·       Have a junior or senior standing in college, or be in a graduate school program;

·       Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher;

·       Submit a copy of your transcript and proof of course credit from your academic institution;

·       Submit resume;

 

Interview Process:

·       Selected candidates will be scheduled for a video interview prior to our April 15th cut-off date.

·       If selected, offers will be extended to candidates the week of April 26th.

·       The program will begin on June 2nd at 12 pm ET.

 

Intern Hours:

·       9:00 am‐6:00 pm, Monday-Friday OR as agreed upon with advisor in accordance with academic requirements.

 

HR & Operations Learning Objectives & Intern Expectations:

·       Assists the HR team with compliance based projects;

·       Assists the HR team with coordinating employee trainings, meetings, interviews and tracking deliverables;

·       Learns about the recruitment, selection, logistical coordination and execution of a dynamic virtual internship program;

·       Will learn why performance management is invaluable to any organization and internal processes to include collecting and tracking performance management deliverables;

·       Will learn how to communicate with Excel employees and interns effectively and appropriately to include draft HR communications for internal and external use;

·       Will learn office operations management to include managing inventory and coordinating processes;

·       Will gain a general understanding of basic HR function principles to include becoming familiar with SHRM and other HR related news outlets;

·       Will gain exposure to all Excel divisions and functions;

·       Will develop skills necessary to maintain a business environment;

·       Will compile bi-monthly learnings and share with the HR team;

·       Will have access to the Excel team for industry advice and learnings;

·       May occasionally be assigned projects outside the HR group to gain exposure to other divisions within Excel;

·       Will participate in end of year learning experience and capstone project as required of all Excel interns.
