Overview


Cirrus Insight is looking for an experienced Director of Data and Analytics to contribute to Cirrus Insight’s strategic and financial outcomes by analyzing, monitoring and uncovering growth-oriented insights related to our business and assets. This role is responsible for identifying data gaps, defining a data analytics roadmap, rallying stakeholders, and defining and installing robust standards and practices. These are just a few of the challenges that will need to be accomplished to advance the fast-paced, growing organization. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Director of Data and Analytics will have a direct impact and play a critical role in the company’s long-term growth and success.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Make our customers successful by modeling successful business enablement and uncovering data insights and opportunities.

  • Make our team successful by showing us how to leverage key insights to drive results.

  • Make our company successful by delivering insights to profitably to support rapid growth, enterprise scale, and market-leading analytics.

 

Responsibilities

  • Approach every business process from an analytical viewpoint. Define the key levers to success. Build models and tracking to report on progress.

  • Establish a cadence of reporting and improvement to feed the corporate planning process.

  • Think outside the box to deliver high-value actionable insights that drive operational excellence.

  • Identify critical leverage points, bring the information and stakeholders together to elevate the discussion and insight. Build consensus around best practices, benchmarking and continuous innovation.

  • Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership to align on short-, medium- and long-term strategy and tactics.

  • Develop a comprehensive data analysis agenda to enable the business to grow and scale in a profitable way as a best-in-class enterprise SaaS vendor.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science,  Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to both analyze and visualize key leverageable data sets and express concepts to teams at all levels. 

  • Demonstrated mastery of data visualization tools and queries, complex process mapping and statistics.

  • Excellence in architecting, testing, delivering, and supporting information analysis and delivery.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide actionable insights that move the business forward exponentially.

  • Demonstrated mastery of Machine Learning techniques includes clustering, classification, regression, decision trees, neural nets, anomaly detection, etc.

  • Strong track record of performing data analysis and statistical modeling using SQL, SAS or similar tools

  • Experience with Salesforce,  Salesforce integrations, browser extensions, Microsoft Outlook, SaaS in both B2C and B2Enterprise formats.

  • Ability to prioritize asks, set expectations to stakeholders, and deliver responsibilities on time.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to work effectively with technical contributors, management and executive leadership.

  • Full-time

Location: We have a geographically distributed team. Most of the engineering team is in Irvine, CA, the Customer-facing team is in Knoxville, TN and Cirrus Insight works with a variety of remote and offshore teams. Location is flexible.
