THE OPPORTUNITY:


THE WELL is seeking a Junior Creative Director to work with the Chief Creative Officer and VP of Marketing to drive creative strategy, concepting and execution across all channels, including email design, photo and video, social graphics, event collateral, presentations, product packaging, image sourcing and print assets. 


This role works closely with the marketing, membership, programming and operations teams to create and execute collateral that is both internal and external facing, in the Club and online.


In this role, you will report to the VP of Marketing. 



THE DAY TO DAY:


  • Work with the Chief Creative Officer and VP of Marketing to drive creative strategy, concepting and execution across all channels

  • Work on projects from the brief phase, to sharing concepts, to sharing for approval to finalizing files for print or web

  • Manage graphic designers, assigning projects based on timelines, priorities and skill sets

  • Mentor and direct designers by providing direction and feedback, and taking responsibility for completion of projects

  • Maintain and advance THE WELL visual brand by enforcing brand guidelines across departments, channels and platforms and continuously explore new ways to enhance those guidelines

  • Work closely with external partners and vendors

  • Concept, create and update collateral such as emails, brochures, invitations, social graphics, menus, etc.

  • Find inspiration and create mood boards for THE WELL projects and products

  • Manage the organization of creative assets, files and images on Dropbox

  • Research and source products such as tote bags, paper samples, signage materials, etc.

  • Photo research, editing and art direction for photo shoots and video shoots


 

KEY TRAITS: 


  • You have a strong proficiency of Adobe graphic design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as Keynote

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing, Graphics or a related field with 5-7 years of relevant experience

  • You have a strong eye for design

  • You display exemplary organizational and project management skills and the ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • You are flexible, adaptable and comfortable with shifting gears with little notice to address priorities

  • You have the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and communicate effectively with diverse teams both at headquarters and in the field

  • You are able to engage leadership and build consensus for new initiatives

  • Aligned with THE WELL mission and enthusiastic about the creative can play in realizing that mission 

  • Entrepreneurial and risk-oriented, with an understanding of the dynamics of small, high-growth companies and an ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment 

  • Confident and experienced decision-making, comfortable with making trade-off’s and communicating decisions to partners 

  • Strategic, big picture thinker who can push the team to think boldly and creatively without losing sight of the finer details
