The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Financial Analyst/Associate to support our venture backed wellness model as we grow, launch new lines of business including e-commerce, and prepare for our next equity round. The ideal candidate would have previous investment banking or consulting experience with a top-tier firm.
As the sole Financial Analyst/Associate, you will be working at our headquarters in Manhattan, reporting directly to our Head of Finance, playing a key supporting role in budgeting, planning, reporting, and materials for our investor relations efforts. This is a highly visible role in which you will work across the entire organization and each department. This role will continuously evolve as our business needs change, and as we tackle new projects – you will be encouraged and expected to continuously learn and expand your functional expertise.
The Person We Need
Play a key supporting role in the annual budgeting process
Lead monthly review process for budget vs. actual tracking by department
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reviews for management
Partner with key business areas to perform strategic analysis and modeling to help inform department-specific spending and decisions
Prepare and deliver daily, weekly and monthly management reports to key internal and external constituents
Manage key operating metrics used to drive the business to greater efficiency
Assist in the upgrade of reporting standards through the pursuit of continuous process improvement and liaison with the various business departments
Assist in preparation of financial materials for Board of Directors and Investor meetings
Additional ad-hoc analytical research projects to support company growth
Key Traits
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics preferred with top GPA
2-4 years of finance and strategic analysis experience in banking or corporate finance
Entrepreneurial drive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment
Highly proficient in financial analysis and model building
Function effectively in an especially fast-paced start-up operating environment, managing time effectively to address high priority items in a timely manner
Highly motivated self-starters strongly encouraged to apply
