SERVER / MARKET TABLE ATTENDANT: Requirements & Responsibilities:
• Able to follow set up & break down procedures according to specific type of service
• Maintain a clean & organized work station • Flexible Schedule • Protect establishment & guests by adhering to sanitation, safety & alcohol beverage control policies – follow DOH procedures • Being friendly and positive with all interactions of guests o Read the table; anticipate their needs
• Ability to: o Taking orders – being mindful of allergies & dietary restrictions o Provide suggestions & descriptions of all menu items o Educated & updated on description of food, menu items, specialties, menu modifications & preparations:
▪ Knowing when items are close to “86”
▪ Memorized all ingredients of dishes to know which allergies apply
▪ Identify substitutions of dishes (when things can be made vegan, nut free, gluten free)
• Maintain a positive attitude especially when faced with problematic situations
• Competent in navigating the POS system o putting in orders, adding items, canceling orders, transferring checks, making modifications etc.
• Ability to answer all questions about the establishment: o Hours of operation o Positions & names of all ownership & management o Address, phone number, reservation policy, etc. o Instagram handle, website, any social media platform o Overall mission of the establishment Skills:
