Purpose of Role


Working in conjunction with the Vice President of Business Development, the primary focus of the Marketing Generalist is to plan, design, and implement strategic initiatives within the scope of projects to deploy and manage marketing needs both internally and externally. This position designs and implements marketing projects as they align with business development and marketing. The Marketing Generalist will also work in conjunction with current business development staff and delegated carrier project managers to implement marketing strategies.


Principal Accountabilities



1.    Because of the cross-functional nature of our teams, we highly value individuals with T-shaped skills, people with deep expertise and a broad knowledge base.

2.    Design all marketing collateral including, but not limited to brochures, educational materials, and print advertising

3.    Develop written consent for newsletters, press releases, and various promotion materials

4.    Manage all social media strategy, content creation, and scheduling

5.    Coordinate monthly newsletter including written & visual content development

6.    Manage all websites including design, copywriting, and content updates

7.    Manage data analytics to support ongoing trend reports and presentations

8.    Design and compile presentations in PowerPoint

9.    Support public relations and media coordination

10. Manage photo and video library

11. Manage email marketing campaigns anc ocontact lists via SalesForce

12. Other miscellaneous projects that may arise


Education/License: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing


Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience working in the managed care field with a medical group, an acute hospital or with a health plan.

7. Persuasive writing, communication, negotiating and presentation skills. Ability to appropriately adjust content/style to audience and timing

8. Excellent relationship-building skills, across multiple organization/vendors

9. Solid creative, analytic, and organizational skills

10. Proficient with MS Word, MS Project, Salesforce CRM/platform experience a plus

11. Ability to determine and define project scope and objectives

12. Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

13. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

14. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
