EP Wealth Advisors, LLC (“EPWA”) is a wealth management advisory firm with over $4 Billion in AUM as of December 31, 2018, serving predominately high net worth individuals. EPWA is seeking a Portfolio Manager for our Torrance regional office. The Portfolio Manager works closely with Senior Portfolio Managers and Advisors to manage investments of client accounts. Create timelines and schedules for various department related merger activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in Investment Committee meetings
  • Work on model changes and rebalancing for non-Tamarac accounts
  • Recommends non-discretionary accounts
  • Monitor asset allocation of client accounts and conduct rebalancing utilizing trade order management system as necessary
  • Monitor cash levels in client accounts and adjust as necessary
  • Produce periodic reports from trade order management system as necessary
  • Work with compliance to document and report on trading activity
  • Assist with other compliance related tasks
  • Enter, maintain and report on data in portfolio management system
  • Collaborate with Financial advisors to enter and analyze data in investment portfolio proposals as necessary

Perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve objectives of portfolio management team


  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business, finance or economics related major; participation in the CFA program preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in investment related field; portfolio management and/or securities trading experience highly preferred
  • Strong interest and knowledge in financial planning and wealth management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, productive working within a team structure
  • Ability to work independently and exercise discretion without immediate supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to organize and present data; strong Excel and/or programming skills a plus
  • Experience with Tamarac or other trade order / portfolio management software
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Morningstar, Schwab, TDAmeritrade, and Fidelity platforms
