The Product Manager will work independently to develop new product strategy, business cases, and market research. The Product Manager will plan and execute assigned product and program launch activities, including launch materials, communications, and training, and learn from the program development and launch processes.

Responsibilities 

  • Designs and executes marketing programs by developing product strategies and tactical plans to achieve product goals for assigned products and specialty areas. 
  • Establishes programs by surgeon specialty with key messaging and value proposition through market research and analytics, data driven targeting and approaches, and focused sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Identifies resources needed and ensure execution of approved programs.
  • Integrates customer feedback data into program design based on experience and analysis.
  • Responsible for completing tasks assigned to Product Management and represents marketing on product/project development teams.
  • Analyzes sales and unit trends of assigned products monthly, identifies and reports sales performance barriers and solutions to leadership. 
  • Supports assigned products with technical expertise, including product training, surgical procedures, scientific meetings, technical information requests, and product documentation and marketing materials. 
  • Handles technical calls on Acera products anytime, trains key stakeholders on advanced product features, including internal staff, sales professionals, and health care professionals (HCPs). 
  • Provides surgeons and sales partners general product knowledge of the full portfolio at conferences, medical education activities and other product training events as a representative of Acera. 
  • Collects and records field feedback and complaints on assigned products, reports issues per Acera Quality Management System (QMS). 
  • Builds and manages surgeon relationships for consulting, product development, case studies, VoC engagements, etc. and marketing leader for the specialty advisory board(s) for assigned focus areas.
  • Writes and disseminates product information for marketing and communications to the field following Acera’s QMS process. 
  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously, delivers quarterly analyses and recommendations on new business opportunities, and helps evaluate business development and R&D opportunities for assigned products. 
  • Ensures 100% compliance with all applicable laws, AdvaMed guidelines and Acera’s policies. 
  • Manages the budget and resources needed for designated products and programs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Marketing with direct product management and/or sales experience is required.
  • Two or more years of experience in medical device or similar industry required.
  • Ability to travel domestically 40%.  Overnight travel is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and execute product and program launches.
  • Shows skills in financial analysis, performance analysis, business planning, business forecasting concepts, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentation to large groups of peers, key stakeholders, and HCPs with advanced presentation skills.
  • Has leadership presence and can present to executives with credibility and proven experience.
  • Proficient in using various software tools and platforms for creating and delivering programs and educational events,
  • Advanced computer skills working with Excel and PowerPoint, proficient in remaining MS Office Suite.
  • Takes initiative and ownership over processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
