Job Summary
The primary focus of this role is executing the strategy and development of cross-product, differentiated platform capabilities to increase use, satisfaction, and renewal rates of our products within our core Infobase markets. Reporting to the Director, Platform Strategy, the Senior Platform Owner will be responsible for defining the priority platform and tooling opportunities as well managing the execution of key features and services. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform delivers stable and successful product experiences. In addition, this role leads and maintains go-to-market plans for new features and services with internal stakeholders ensuring that platform releases have successful market introductions.
Essential Functions

Leads and maintains market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product and platform enhancements.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the digital educational resources domain, bringing relevant knowledge and insights into the product design and planning process.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to define product requirements, ensuring that they meet market demands and align with the company’s overall strategy.

Engage with customers to gather market evidence on product initiatives and inform solution designs that directly result in exceptional product experiences.

Manage the business requirements documentation of critical features, solutions, and milestones as part of our product development framework and processes.

Analyze user data and behavior metrics to make informed product decisions, prioritize feature development, and drive product improvements based on user needs and preferences.

Conduct customer discovery sessions, surveys, and user tests that complement market research to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that customer requirements and preferences are incorporated into the product development process as an integral component of our data-driven ways of working.

Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the organization's goals, vision, and customer requirements, ensuring that it remains up-to-date and communicated effectively to all stakeholders.

Include all stakeholders in product change decisions as needed to build consensus before implementation.

Define and measure quarterly objectives and key results for the purpose of evaluating feature impact on product strategy goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated product management experience, preferably in the education sector.

Strong communication skills that include stakeholder management.

Excellent knowledge of technology tools, web browsers, Google apps, and Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally across departments.

Experience with agile product development methodologies and rituals, especially writing comprehensive requirements for development teams.

Demonstrated impact on product outcomes through the use of systems thinking to identify the critical areas of focus and the most appropriate strategic direction to achieving it.

Demonstrated track record of making data-driven decisions, bringing analytical thinking to every aspect of your role.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
5-7 Years in Similar Role.
