Job Summary
The Director, Technical Operations is responsible for ensuring that the company's technological infrastructure is responsive, secure, and efficient, enabling the business to operate smoothly and effectively. This includes maintaining high system availability for clients, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards, optimizing costs, and delivering high-quality IT services to internal users. This role involves leading a team of technical professionals, managing key technology vendors, ensuring operational efficiency, driving innovation, and aligning technical strategies with the overall business objectives.
Essential Functions
- Ensure cloud operations are designed and implemented to meet organizational standards of security, reliability, and performance.
- Working with CTO and CFO, develop and manage the Corporate IT budget, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with Software Architects in the design of application and cloud architecture.
- Manage development and production infrastructure including servers, networking, and storage components.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Lead and manage the corporate IT infrastructure team, ensuring efficient operation and support of all internal systems and software.
- Manage and provide end-user support services in a fully remote environment, ensuring remote employees receive timely and effective technical assistance.
- Develop and implement multi-year strategic IT infrastructure plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and upgrading of internal systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and provide appropriate technological solutions.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and modernization of the IT systems and infrastructure.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning and implementation.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending relevant adoption to enhance organizational capabilities.
