Job Summary

 

Reporting to the General Manager, the Product Manager will work closely with the business to define, implement, and execute the product strategy for all Vault product lines. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing services to developing new services on behalf of the business. The ideal candidate has a background and understanding of the recruiting and academic markets and has a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

 

Essential Functions

 

Product Vision and Strategy:

 

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the business goals and market needs.
  • Collaborate with GM and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and market demands, translating them into actionable product goals.

 

Product Roadmap:

  • Create, refine, and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring that the development team is moving forward executing the near and long terms needs of the business.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring they meet the business requirements and quality standards.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and customers to refine and adjust the product backlog and roadmap.

 

Sprint Planning and Execution:

  • Lead sprint planning sessions, collaborating with the development team to break down features into executable tasks.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to provide guidance and clarify requirements.

 

Performance Measurement:

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of product features.
  • Analyze product performance data to make informed decisions and adjustments to the product strategy.

 

Market and User Research:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Engage with users and customers to gather insights and validate assumptions, ensuring the product meets user needs and expectations.

 

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with product development and delivery.
  • Develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges and ensure successful product outcomes.

  • In-depth knowledge of the recruiting and academic markets, including key trends and challenges.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relay technical details to non-technical audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ Years Experience in product management, preferably within the recruiting or academic sectors.
