We are seeking an energetic and passionate Vice President of Human Resources. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the CEO and Executive team. The VP of HR is responsible for the overall human resource function for approximately 160 employees nationwide.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1) Talent acquisition, Development and Retention

  • Works with hiring managers to develop detailed job descriptions for all open positions within the company
  • Ensures that hiring managers are engaged with a diverse pool of qualified candidates for open positions
  • Oversees candidate selection process maximizing likelihood that role is a good fit for both the candidate and the company
  • Review and refine employee onboarding process
  • Create and implement on-going training, employee engagement and development programs

2) Employee Relations and Performance Management

  • Serve as a sounding board and advocate for employees,
  • Ensure that feedback structures are in place so that employees are able to receive and provide feedback on job effectiveness and satisfaction
  • Continually refine and  improve annual performance management process
  • Monitor employee satisfaction and effectiveness through formal processes (e.g. annual survey) and less structured programs


3) Administration, Benefits and Management

  • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits and employee incentive programs
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
  • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
  • Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues
  • Evaluate the HR Information System (HRIS) and processes to ensure that employee information is accurate, reportable and reliable; ensure data is collected in a way that provides insightful analysis that will support critical organizational solution building
  • Provide employment key performance indicators for quarterly board meetings
  • Provide strategic direction to the India-based HR Manager to ensure consistency in company positioning, culture and values across global footprint
  • Oversee staff of 2, Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Generalist
  • Manage interaction with key HR vendors including TriNet (payroll and benefits) and Vanguard (401K)
  • Ensure the company is in compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a HR manager/director role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems (Experience with TriNet is a plus)
