Vault Law, a subsidiary of the Firsthand brand and an entity of Infobase Holdings, is hiring a freelance editor for summer and possibly longer to assist with content creation. As the go to resource for law students and attorneys researching law firms, Vault Law produces legal rankings, guides, and industry insights. Join our dynamic team for the summer and help us continue Vault Law’s mission of providing highly credentialed job seekers with the industry intelligence they need to build their ideal careers.

The Vault Law freelance editor will help Vault’s editorial team create and edit content relating to legal careers and law school, including blogs, website content, law firm profiles, guidebooks, and social media. The freelance editor will work closely with Vault Law’s editorial team, particularly around the launch of the 2023 Vault Law rankings and profiles.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining experience in legal journalism and publishing. The successful candidate will be personable and skilled at writing and communicating.

  Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Regularly blogging for the Vault Law blog
  • Writing new content for website and guides, including law school and law firm profiles and articles relating to law school and legal careers.'
  • Editing web and guide content.
  • Helping to brainstorm content ideas.

Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record.
  • J.D., or currently pursuing a J.D.
  • Knowledge or interest in law school experience and legal careers.
  • Strong communication skills, including over the phone and via email.
  • Stellar writing and editing abilities.
  • Blogging and social media skills are a plus.
  • Excellent time management and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious environment
  • This position will be remote
